Note: You may be asked questions on lower grade theory, so make sure you know it.

Slow motion: Techniques are performed slowly, but otherwise in the same manner as in normal motion. This motion is designed to demonstrate the elements of the theory of power with the omission of speed.

Connecting motion: Two complementing techniques are performed in a single breath and motion. Breath is inhaled on the first technique which has no tension on impact, and exhaled upon impact of the second technique.

Two-step sparring (Ibo matsoki): Is practised to improve focus, distance, and timing using combinations of different hand and foot techniques.
